2020 Rallye Perce-Neige, the opening round of the Canadian Rally Championship, was an amazingly run event. This was my second year at the event, so coming back with prior knowledge of the stages, the times, and better techniques and lenses to use was a huge help. I started off my trip at the Blue sea stage, after finding out rather unfortunately that dogs are not allowed on the shuttle to the Farley stage. Karel Carré  set the pace early, leading the pack by a fair margin of 7 seconds only 2 stages in,  with Leblanc and Dubé pulling ahead in 2wd setting a  13 second lead in their class.  Carré and Gaudreau managed to maintain and expand their lead through to the last stages of the night, setting a strong lead early on in this year's championship. Leblanc and Dubé suffered from rally-ending engine malfunction with just 4 stages to go, handing the 2wd win off to Bailley and Willets  in their Fiesta R2. Some of the more surprising competitors in the field were  Wallingford and  Junilla, Wallingford having just recently recovered from a back injury. All in all it was a fantastic event, and I hope to come back and see it again in the coming years.
