I don't have much of the Rockies, though I've spent a fair amount of time in this range, along with the cascades, but in the coming years I'm sure to spend more and more. The sheer cliffs and grand waterfalls, mixed with lush forests and thriving wildlife makes for always interesting and breathtaking trips. the abundance of parks and campgrounds makes it incredibly easy to spend weeks or even months at a time in this region, and I swear you could spend an entire lifetime in the rockies and still barely scratch the surface of what these mountains have to offer. Just writing this and going through the photos makes me want to go back to this Mountain Range.
This section of photos is from a trip in 2017 when I (Unsuccessfully) tried to drive to Peace River to visit a close friend a week before Christmas. You may notice just how barren and clear of snow these mountains and landscapes appear, and you'd be right, it was uncharacteristically dry that season, though it did compensate with a sizeable snow dump right at the end of the season. Shown here is Pyramid mountain, which may come as a surprise if you've only seen the one in Wells Gray, which is actually volcanic. This peak, however, is in my opinion one the most beautiful and stunning peaks in the area. Mt Robson may be taller, but the type of rock, and clean faces of the cliffs and the surrounding peaks that seem to frame the summit so well truly make this a breathtaking peak.
